Hello lovely!

My name is Skyler and it's a pleasure to have you on my blog. <3 I am fairly new to this spiritual path and have taken up studying sea witchcraft. I love the water and being in nature. This is a place to gather the things that pertain to my studies and interest me in this beautiful new world.
I find beauty in life and want nothing more than to walk this path my own way.

This is a side blog so I sadly cannot follow or send messages but please do still feel free to talk! I adore each and every one of you. <3

Herb and tea balls have returned to the shop!

amroyounes:

8 vegetables that you can regrow again and again.

Scallions

You can regrow scallions by leaving an inch attached to the roots and place them in a small glass with a little water in a well-lit room.

Garlic

When garlic begins to sprout, you can put them in a glass with a little water and grow garlic sprouts. The sprouts have a mild flavor than garlic and can be added to salads, pasta and other dishes.

Bok Choy

Bok choy can be regrown by placing the root end in water in a well-lit area. In 1-2 weeks , you can transplant it to a pot with soil and grow a full new head.

Carrots

Put carrot tops in a dish with a little water. Set the dish in a well-lit room or a window sill.  You’ll have carrot tops to use in salads.

Basil

Put clippings from basil with 3 to 4-inch stems in a glass of water and place it in direct sunlight. When the roots are about 2 inches long, plant them in pots to and in time it will grow a full basil plant.

Celery

Cut off the base of the celery and place it in a saucer or shallow bowl of warm water in the sun. Leaves will begin to thicken and grow in the middle of the base, then transfer the celery to soil.

Romaine Lettuce

Put romaine lettuce stumps in a 1/2 inch of water. Re-water to keep water level at 1/2 inch. After a few days, roots and new leaves will appear and you can transplant it into soil.

Cilantro

The stems of cilantro will grown when placed in a glass of water. Once the roots are long enough, plant them in a pot in a well-lit room. You will have a full plant in a few months.

wolftea:

Pressed plants

Step one: find fresh shed leaves, flowers, petals etc Or harvest fresh from the plant ( though do not take too much, be kind in your harvest)

Step two: allow them to dry a bit if they are damp or covered in dew

Step three: find a thick heavy book, open to the center…. place paper towels on either page and lay out your foliage on one side.

Step 4: close the book, make sure there is enough weight to firmly press your foliage down…. and allow to sit and dry for a few months

After a few months, they will be preserved with most color still in tact and ready for use.

Perfect for card making, decoupage, mixed media, resin, framing…..

a simple way to keep summer plants all year round <3

My lovely forest critters… I need some good vibes.

This week I started a job that brings about the worst of my anxiety, my cell phone died on me, my sofa and bed were both ruined, and tonight my air conditioning unit started pouring water and ice… ruining the carpet in the closet and parts of the hall. Among other things my mother has dropped on to my ever-growing pile of stresses.

I think the universe is testing me and I don’t do very well on tests. As of late I am failing, on epic levels. Tonight I will curl up with a good book and warm tea in hopes that tomorrow when I wake things will be a little bit better. If not I might just lose my tiny little mind. I hope everyone is doing better than I am and if someone hasn’t said it to you today, I love you.
